    The exclusive all-in-one plugin for models!
    This plugin allows you to replace the models (v_, p_ and w_) of all the weapons (including armoury entities), knife sounds, the sprite of the c4 led and of the HE explosion, and player models.
    Players will only have to download the models/sprites/sounds, their original models/sprites/sounds won't be modified.

    vmodel is the model you see in your hands.
    pmodel is the model you see in other players' hands.
    wmodel is the model you see when the weapon is on the ground.

    The names of the models/sounds must be different than the default ones, otherwise players won't download them because they already have them on their computers.

    The plugin can be disabled via the "change_models" cvar (but the precache will still work).

    See the top of the .sma file or read the "change_models.ini" and "player_models.ini" configuration files for more infos or some examples of "how to use this plugin".

    Info: The replacement of the player models works with SteamID or flag(s).
    On a NoSteam server (CS 1.6 with dproto module [users with "STEAM_ID_LAN"] or CS 1.5 under WON [same AuthID number for all users]), you can use IP address instead of SteamID.

    Important: Do not use both "Change Models" and "Change Models Player" plugins together.

are the only shield models not working, there are no issues with the other shield models.

I first thought maybe there is something wrong with the skin pack I'm trying to put on my server, so I tried a client install and they work just fine.
Everything is spelled properly inside change_models.ini, I checked far too many times than what I should have.

Maybe your path exceed 47 of length.

Inside the plugin there is a limited size for the variables with multiple cases (strings in this part).
Try open the .sma file with AMX Mod Editor, modify the line "MODELS_SIZE 48", change 48 into 64, then right click, Compile now!
Replace the plugin and test again.

Hi i'm sorry to bother you, I'm a total newbie.

I've been trying to set this plugin up, but it seems like I'm making a mistake.


I've added the plugin to the plugins.ini as follow:
change_models.amx

and i've added a mdl file for a weapon in change_models.ini as follow:
deagle_vmodel models/TGaming/v_deagle.mdl

this file is located at: (gamefolder)/cstrike/models/TGaming/v_deagle.mdl

added the following to cvars.ini, don't know if i should do it or not:
"change_models" "0" "1" "g"

executed the following in server:
amx_cvar change_models 1
which gives:
Unknown cvar: change_model

I'm sorry again, i have another question, what's the parameter for c4 planted sound?

I will be very tankful to you if you could kindly point our where i'm making a mistake.
Your help will be very appreciated. Thank you.

Well, make sure the plugin is properly installed where it should be, and the CVar is "change_models", not "change_model", besides, no need to set it for it, it is already enabled by default (despite adding it to the "cvars.ini" is not a problem, but it is already listed in the "amx_plugcvarmenu").

The plugin itself is limited & not well-made, it can not replace all the models/sprites & sounds paths of your choice, just a some predefined ones having been hardcoded internally.
Tell me the models or/and sounds (like, by "event") you want to replace and I will modify a version.

Also, I do not recommend to use some "upper case" in your paths ("models/TGaming/v_deagle.mdl"), but more everything in lower case ("models/tgaming/v_deagle.mdl"), despite this should not be a problem if you respect those case-sensitivities for both sides (lines in file and in the real path in your server).
But if in case you did not in your FAST download URL this will be skipped and will download from the server itself (very very low speed).

I have plans to code an unique & powerful plugin in order replace this one, but later (after next "bigger AMX version"), because that kind of stuff is important & often used (at least for player models first).

Thank you again! It worked.!
I wanted to replace the sound "Bomb has been planted" which is this file "bombpl.wav", with a custom sound, If it takes your precious time, it will be absolutely alright to skip this, This plugin gives more than i would ever need.
In any case, I will definitely look forward to your next plugin which would replace this.

That "bombpl.wav" sound is not played like most of the others. It is played client-side via a broadcast message sent from the "SendAudio" message type.

Here is a version for you (v1.4.4-m3ni-v1), add "bomb_planted_soundpath" in your "change_models.ini" and put your new sound after (both .wav & .mp3 supported).
